The use of a blast chiller has several advantages for catering businesses. It helps prevent bacterial contamination and keeps your dishes' quality as high as possible for longer. By cooling or freezing products quickly, you prevent the formation of coarse crystals. In addition, there is minimal loss of flavour, moisture and weight. By using this blast chiller, you can store prepared meals for longer and there is less food waste. This blast chiller can be used with GN trays or Bakerynorm trays. You can place 5 x 1/1 or 40 x 60 Bakerynorm trays in it. These are not supplied but can be ordered separately.
Quick cooling and freezing
As soon as you place food in this professional blast chiller, it begins to cool down. Within 90 minutes, food can be cooled down to 3ºC and in about four hours, these can be cooled down further and frozen at -18ºC. The desired temperature can be set using the intelligent digital temperature controller. This blast chiller also has a core thermometer and can be used in environments with a maximum ambient temperature of 32ºC. It also comes on wheels to make transporting this premium piece of equipment easier. It comes fitted with a self-closing door with an antibacterial rubber seal and, on the inside of the blast chiller, all the corners have been rounded to facilitate easier cleaning. The cooling system consists of a water evaporator and the refrigerant used is R290, free from CFC. This blast chiller also includes an automatic defrost function.
Easy to clean
If you want to clean this appliance, it's important to defrost it first. The temperature in the chiller must be the same as the ambient temperature before you begin cleaning. After defrosting the blast chiller, take a damp cloth, warm water and a mild detergent to wipe everything down and clean the appliance thoroughly. Try to use as little water as possible to keep the machine's coating in good condition and to prevent rust on the inside. After cleaning, dry everything with a soft cloth before reconnecting the appliance to a power supply again.
